Why do I like to teach yoga?
Your body and mind meet in the concentration of doing a yoga pose; you experience clarity, focusing your attention, muscles, bones, and breath towards experiencing the particular pose. Again and again, as you approach each pose, this capability to meet each sensation with awareness increases. This experience of harmony of body and mind then transfers to your everyday life; you are more alert to the beauty and wonder of life that has always been right before your eyes and in fact, available to all your senses.
This is the magic of Yoga.
When you feel, as a teacher, that this magic is possible to give someone as a gift it gives a sense of purpose in this world. Once one accepts this magic and moves forward with the practice, body and mind takes a different shape. Mind is more receptive, focused and giving. Body is more flexible, healthier and glowing. As a teacher you are a witness of this process. A witness of someone who is meeting her/his own glitter. Her/his own power, and ability to bloom to its own potential.
Yoga is the union. When I teach I feel I am contributing to the individual unity of building that connection. When one practice and observes the teacher’s’ instructions, the teacher and the student are in uniquely combined unity that is fully understandable to the teacher and student only. As a teacher I also grow and learn about myself in my approach and inner strength to develop and give. While a student learns about her/his individual inner goal. It’s a wonderful dance that keeps on growing and moving and nourishing. I cannot imagine a better engagement in this earthy living.
I hope to see you on the math and share this magic with you
